I couldn't recommend hiring a tens machine enough to anyone who is on the fence!
The process with the birth store was so simple - the machine was easy to use and it was the only form of pain relief I used for my very fast 5 hour labour at home. It supported me through the intensity of contractions and I gave my brain something else to focus on!

I used the TENS machine throughout my labour. The boost mode was great and made contractions more manageable. This is the third pregnancy I have used this for. I also used the TENS machine for my after pains which was a game changer.

I am so grateful I gave the Elle Tens Machine Plus a chance during labour. It created such a positive night and day experience as compared to my previous birth and has given me the confidence to know I can birth again in the future without fear. Even though it feels like a subtle pain relief method it made such a difference to my overall labouring experience. I started using it at the very beginning of labour onset and was able to labour much more comfortably this time up until 5cm until I got the epidural administered (which was always the plan). The Tens machine allowed me to move around and stay active during contractions breathing down and remaining relaxed. The back light of the Plus machine version was well worth it as I could see exactly what was going on without needing to turn any lights on and disrupting the mood. The timing feature was also highly beneficial as I removed any guess work or stress for my husband to get accurate contraction timings. For anyone looking at preparing for birth I would hands down recommend the Elle Tens Machine Plus. I personally will never birth without one again.

I hired a tens machine based on feedback from my hospital & friends but I didn’t really know if it would work for me, I just wanted the option. I was induced and my contracts came on strong and fast. Thankfully I had my tens machine on hand and could get started with it, I found it got me into a really good place really quickly. I needed gas as well, but the combination of the two worked well and got me to 7cm before I needed an epidural. I specifically remember being sad my tens machine had to come off for the epidural - it had just become an integral part of my labour. I HIGHLY recommend having one - just as an option in your toolkit. I am so impressed by a little machine!
I was a little iffy to see if the tense machine would work, it absolutely helped me!! I used it and got to 8cm before going to hospital, then used it throughout my labour at hospital. 10/10 would recommend!!!!!
I used the Tens machine all through the first stage of labour almost up until transition. I only took it off to get in the bath to birth our bub, and was reluctant because it really helped take the edge off. To my surprise I ended up having a totally unmedicated birth as a result. It was easy to use and send back when we were finished.

The tens was a life saver! I recommend it to all my girlfriends who are pregnant - just like it was recommended to me. It’s amazing how the feeling distracts from the contractions enough to make them more bearable and made my birth so much more do-able. 10/10!

It was very easy to order the tens machine online and it was posted on selected date with return satchel for easy return. Everything you need was included in the package. Would recommend the Birth Store and would use again!
Essential pain relief. Feels like a massage and hot shower on your back that you can adjust with each contraction. Contraction timer takes the mental load off, and helped me stay present and mindful through the contractions. Enabled me to labour comfortably at home and in car on the way to hospital. I got to hospital 8cm dilated and bub came shortly after.
Second time using a tens machine for labour. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to use as a natural pain relief during labour. Used for 4 hours before getting into the birthing pool and having my baby at home 😊
I used this machine straight away when early labour started and it was so helpful throughout early and active labour. I was able to sleep through early labour while having the tens machine on as well. Unfortunately I ended up having an emergency c-section but I was able to labour for 24 hrs all up with the tens machine and using gas. The Tens machine really helped to reduce back pain and helped me to focus on my breathing through each contraction. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone to use for labour.
I absolutely loved using the TENS machine during my birth! I had heard great things about it but was initially skeptical since I hadn’t used one for my first birth. However, I was amazed at how much it helped. I truly wouldn’t want to give birth without it again! I hired this tens machine for my second pregnancy. The process of ordering and having it delivered before my birth was easy as well as having everything ready to ship back to the birth store. I was able to have a beautiful unmedicated physiological birth with the help of the tens machine! I would recommend it to every birthing women!!
I used the tens for my first labour and decided to utilise it for my second. I was a convenient easy delivery and return. I used the device for the labour, for around 2 hours and it helped focus my breathing and mind. I would recommend having the option if possible.
