The machine is a small hand-held device and is very easy to use, it comes with easy to understand instructions which you can go over before birth to ensure you are comfortable with how to use it.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?
The TENS machine helps to distract your mind, build endorphins (which are our body's natural pain relievers) and floods your nervous system which limits your body's ability to send pain signals to your spinal cord and brain.
All of this comes from four electrodes which are situated on your lower back and provide gentle pulse that feels like a strong tingle or pins and needles (without the numbness).
TENS machines are considered a great option as they carry no risk for most people, there are some small considerations if you have some existing medical situations - but they depend on your current medical situation and any exclusions are detailed in the contraindications on the manuals. If you’re considering using a TENS machine it is ideal to speak to your healthcare provider first and always read the provided manual.
We will be sharing a lot of posts coming up regarding more in-depth information about the TENS machine, follow us to keep updated and to answer all your questions.
