My second bubba was born 30/12/2022. After hiring the TENS machine in 2021, I knew it was necessary!
On Friday the 30th I went in for a stretch and sweep at 38 weeks 2 days, with a planned induction for the 3rd of January.
I left my doctors office at 10.45am, and was having cramping and irregular contractions from the time I left.
At 4.30pm the pain started to become worse and I was struggling to be on my feet.
I was offered an epidural but thought "No I’m not really in labour I’ll have time”.
At this point I was in denial that I was in labour and put it down to false contractions, however popped on my TENS machine for some relief.
At 6pm I finally called labour ward and the midwife was adamant that I needed to come in right then!
We got to L&D at 6.30pm, I was offered an epidural but thought “no I’m not really in labour I’ll have time”.
I did not have time, within 20 mins I was pushing and Bub arrived at 7.37pm.
I had my TENS running the whole labour and don’t think I could’ve done it all natural without it!
